Women's Equality Day

50 members viewed a movie about ALICE PAUL's fight for women's right to vote and how she risked her life to win that right. After the movie, called "Iron Jawed
Angels", the members traveled to Alice Paul's home, now a national historic site in Mt. Laurel, New Jersey. There at Paulsdale, US Congresswoman from New York Carolyn Maloney met with our members to discuss the 19th amendment and her new book, "Rumors of Our Progress Have Been Greatly Exaggerated.
